Progressing from UWSCollege to UWS
One of the advantages of studying at UWSCollege is the direct-entry arrangement with the University of Western Sydney (UWS)(opens in a new window).
UWSCollege Diploma students need a 50% pass to proceed to the second year of the corresponding bachelor's degree at UWS with advanced standing equivalent to one year of study. Students can progress to UWS with only seven units completed (and gain 70 credit points advanced standing); however, they do not get their Diploma until they complete the required eight Diploma-level units.
UWSCollege students completing University Foundation Studies need to meet the minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) to proceed to the first year of the corresponding UWS bachelor degree.
University Foundation Studies students must also achieve a minimum C grade in English to enter university and, for some courses, a B grade pass in English may be required. There may also be Mathematics entry requirements to enable them to proceed to the first year of the corresponding UWS bachelor's degree.
Further Study at Other Universities
Although UWSCollege is owned by UWS, students are not locked into studying at UWS after completing their studies with UWSCollege. They have the option to apply to any Australian university and will be assessed by that university on individual merit.
