Full position description: Finance Officer Nirimba - 6 Months Fixed Term Contract (PDF, 549.6 KB) (opens in a new window)
Summary:

We wish to appoint a fixed-term entry level Finance Officer to join the Finance & Infrastructure team. The role will be involved in the day to day activities of the accounts receivable function. The preparation of general ledgers, annual accounts and reconciliation of accounts are some of the key responsibilities of the role. The role will also provide support to the Manager, Finance operations on a number of activities, and to ensure internal control measures are effective in systems and procedures.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounts, customer services and debt collection
  • Sound knowledge of general accounting principles and standards
  • High levels of experience in Excel, and other Accounting mainframe systems, Oracle and GL Wand preferred
  • Experience in key financial accounting functions including account receivables/payables, accounts reconciliations, preparation of journals, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in client relationship building and dealing with external suppliers to the College
