Summary:

The newly created position of RTO Manager is responsible for overseeing the RTO operations with a strong focus on quality learning outcomes and targeted growth of the RTO in line with the UWSCollege strategic objectives.

Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Training & Assessment TAE combined with a tertiary qualification in Adult
    Education, Management or Business
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Australian Skills Quality Authority, training packaging requirements, AVETMISS and experience with government funded programs
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Training funding
  • Demonstrated successful experience in managing and leading a team of professionals, in an RTO environment, in pursuit of excellence in service quality and delivery
  • Experience in business development and grant, tender or proposal writing
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation and communications with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, employee representatives, union officials, legal practitioners and other stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain composure, balance workload and conflicting priorities and effectively handle difficult situations
  • The ability to develop effective relationships with senior management and staff and maintain trust and confidence, and act in a fair and impartial manner to achieve outcomes
  • Demonstrated organisational, project management and administrative skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Summary:

The primary role of the Academic Teacher is to provide efficient and effective teaching and learning experiences for students. We are inviting applications from qualified, experienced teachers to teach the following:

  • Arts - Communication Arts
  • Science - Chemistry
The successful applicant(s) will have undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications in the discipline area as well as a teaching qualification and recent/relevant teaching experience.
          

Selection Criteria:

  • Undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications in area of specialisation as well as formal teaching qualifications with preparedness to enrol in a relevant qualification within 12 months if necessary.
  • Recent and relevant teaching experience in two subjects within the area of discipline taught at the campus for which you are applying

As part of the Academic Pathways team the Health Science teacher will be responsible for providing efficient and effective teaching and learning experiences for our students. This position will be based at our Kingswood campus.

  • Undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications in diversional therapy, therapeutic recreation, health promotion or health service management, as well as formal teaching qualifications or preparedness to enrol in a relevant qualification within 12 months if necessary

  • Experience in teaching students from diverse linguistic, ethnic and academic backgrounds

Summary:

The Disability Advisor will be responsible for the identification, development and review of educational adjustment needs. The incumbent will be responsible for the provision of advice and training, evaluation of services based on benchmarking and good practice research.

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with at least 5 years relevant experience of working with a wide range of clients with a disability in a support, training and advisory role and demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Disability Discrimination Act (1992), Disability Standards for Education (2005), state anti-discrimination legislation and the Privacy Act.
  • Demonstrated significant and recognised experience in providing a broad range of services to people with a disability including the ability to assess, determine, develop and evaluate reasonable accommodation needs and to source appropriate internal and external assistance as required.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, able to organise and monitor own workload, prioritise, and meet objectives whilst maintaining professionalism, effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to present complex written information in reports and to draft policies and procedure and the ability to liaise at a high level with a diverse range of people both internally and externally and reflected in problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated well developed computer literacy skills and a willingness to use technology if and as required.
  • Proven project management skills including delivery of specified outcomes, monitoring, review and the financial and resource management of projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of assistive technology, alternative formats and specialised equipment and furniture.
